Adopt a Marine
Dear Family, Friends, and Associates,
As you all know, my husband Cory is deploying to Afghanistan. His unit will be doing a 12 month deployment. As you can imagine, they will be without the luxuries of home for the year they are there. It is up to family and friends to send care packages to keep them supplied with the basic daily necessities.
I am head of our Adopt a Marine Program that will provide Marines skin and sun care products that are desperately needed in the hot dry climate of Afghanistan. It is my goal to make at least 350 care packages to donate to the marines of the 7th Marine Regiment. The first round of care packages will be presented to the Marines prior to their departure (to allow for packing). I hope to continue to ship them during the duration of their deployment. This will benefit all Marines, especially single Marines who do not have family to send them packages, and also Marine families who are often on a fixed budget.
A Thank You for Your Service card with your name on it will be presented to the Marine with the care package.
Please see the attached gift form to participate in this very worthy cause. It is something that is near and dear to my heart and Cory and his Marines will greatly appreciate your generosity and support.
Due to deployment dates, all monies must be received by September 1, 2009. Any monies received after September 1, 2009 will be contributed to future shipments and the Adopt a Marine Wife Program (coming November 2009) that will give marine wives of the 7th Marine Regiment (who’s husbands are deployed) a much deserved pampering session and gift basket filled with awesome beauty products.
This is a BIG goal and I will need all of your support and help to make it happen.
Please forward this on to everyone in your email address book. We would love to reach as many people as possible to allow them the opportunity to get in on this patriotic heart warming opportunity. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Tammy Taylor
